Reception and Front Office Manager

 

The Reception and Front Office Manager will be the face of our hotel, they will manage all aspects of the front office team which includes managing the night team, ensuring the front desk and nights are covered at all times. Arranging training for all aspects of the department including our Rezlynx front office system. Also updating our online presence on all the main booking channels and also our website. Checking local occupancy and adjusting our rates as necessary. Researching & devising accommodation packages throughout the year to increase occupancy in quiet periods.

Lynford Hall is a privately owned 38 bedroom hotel set in 27 acres of grounds within Thetford Forest.

This is a management position and will also involve duty management shifts and assisting other departments where necessary

A full time contract will be issued for this role with a minimum of 45 hours per week.

The Reception & Front Office Manager will be responsible for issuing rotas for the team ensuring that whilst all areas are covered they are costed and within budget constraints.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

The Reception and Front Office Manager must have the relevant hotel experience in order to be able to carry out the tasks required in this position. Either from a 3 or 4 star establishment with a minimum of 30 bedrooms. They must have a good knowledge of Online Travel Agents (OTA'S) and also must have used Rezlynx for a minimum of two years, a knowledge of the C&B area of Rezlynx would also be an advantage.
