Reception and Front Office Manager - Full Time

The Reception and Front Office Manager will be the face of our hotel, they will manage all aspects of the front office team which includes managing the night team, ensuring the front desk and nights are covered at all times. Arranging training for all aspects of the department including our Rezlynx front office system. Also updating our online presence on all the main booking channels and also our website. Checking local occupancy and adjusting our rates as necessary. Researching & devising accommodation packages throughout the year to increase occupancy in quiet periods.

Lynford Hall is a privately owned 38 bedroom hotel set in 27 acres of grounds within Thetford Forest.
This is a management position and will also involve duty management shifts and assisting other departments where necessary

A full time contract will be issued for this role with a minimum of 45 hours per week.

The Reception & Front Office Manager will be responsible for issuing rotas for the team ensuring that whilst all areas are covered they are costed and within budget constraints.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
The Reception and Front Office Manager must have the relevant hotel experience in order to be able to carry out the tasks required in this position. Either from a 3 or 4 star establishment with a minimum of 30 bedrooms. They must have a good knowledge of Online Travel Agents (OTA'S) and also must have used Rezlynx for a minimum of two years, a knowledge of the C&B area of Rezlynx would also be an advantage.

Apprentice Chef - Full Time

We currently have a vacancy for an apprentice Commis Chef to join our enthusiastic team. If you have a passion for all things food and would 'relish' the opportunity to be trained by our experienced Chefs to prepare the best food for our guests and functions including weddings, party nights and corporate events,whist earning £292 per week, this could be the right opportunity for you. You will learn on the job including food preparation, food hygiene and learning how to make dishes as well as well as stock control and food labelling etc. You will need to be keen to learn and a real team player.

Chef De Partie - Full Time

We currently have a vacancy for a strong CDP who has a minimum of five years' experience in catering. A passion and a clear knowledge of food preparation and cooking is essential. Also, the ability to train and motivate younger team members to enable them to progress. You will be capable of writing basic menus and updating the specials board. Food safety certificate Level 2 is required and an understanding of good practice is needed.

Receptionist – Full Time

Reception is the hub of the hotel, we are looking for a professional, well presented person to take on this role. A friendly and bright personality is required and the ability to work under pressure is a bonus. Previous experience of working with our front office system- Rezlynx would be an advantage.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a hotel
  • Previous knowledge of working with Rezlynx and Roomlynx
  • Confident with using computers, handling emails etc
  • Well-presented and professional
